Question about shaving?

My father said that if I shave using an electric motor or non-electric razor, it will stimulate some thing that causes the hair to thicken and become more like whisker. He also says that if you just use a mini clippers to cut just the mustache hair will not thicken. Is this true?

Despite old wives tales and other nonsense, shave with an electric razor or not, does not push hair thicker or darker. think of a lock of hair like a stalk of bamboo … when it is long it is as versatile and flexible … but when you cut it short, it becomes stiff, you can not bend it, it is no thicker or stronger, it's just that the shorter duration makes nonpliable … The same applies to our hair, whether on our head, face or other body parts. longer hair is more flexible and weakened by daily exposure to the elements and therefore feels less thick and rigid, but it's always the same hair. Now the natural texture of your hair will change many times as you age and your hormones change throughout life, but shaving is not really much to do with more or less thick hair. If you really want to have beautiful hair soft face when you take your shower, put shampoo on your hair from the face when you use your head. It will be much softer and smoother.
